The Colosseum

The Colosseum

Is this place stroller/ pram friendly?

Oops… Their website doesnt directly answer this, but we have asked them and are waiting for their answer!

However, here’s what their website says:

“As part of the ongoing reorganization of the PArCo’s paths to make them accessible for all, an alternative to the Via Sacra is now available, permitting visitors to reach the main monuments in the Roman Forum (House of the Vestals, Temple of Romulus, Lacus Iuturnae, Temple of Antoninus and Faustina, Piazza del Foro, Curia). Reaching the summit of the Palatine Hill, although not particularly difficult, is still contingent upon several brief stretches of relatively steep paths and generally irregular paving throughout. Plans are underway to increase the overall length of the paths accessible to all from 1.5 to 2.0 kilometers.

Inside the Colosseum there is a marked path for all which covers most of the first tier and, thanks to the elevators placed specifically for visitors with mobility issues, the entirety of the second tier.”

Does this place have baby changing facilities?

Here’s what their website says:

“Comfortable armchairs, a wash basin, changing tables and a play area: this is the new Baby Pit Stop at the Colosseum promoted by UNICEF and set up in a new space created by the PArCo as part of the redevelopment of a section of the second level of the monument.
The space of two rooms was set up with the support of IKEA Roma, which donated the carefully chosen furniture to make those who need to breastfeed or change their nappies, or even just a quiet moment for the little visitors, even more comfortable during their visit. The rooms are located on the second level of the Colosseum and have a dedicated and appropriately signposted entrance along the visit route; to gain access, please contact the security and reception staff.”

Does this place have a somewhere to nurse in private?
